Xiamen University (XMU) was founded in 1921 by Tan Kah Kee (Chen Jiageng), a celebrated overseas Chinese philanthropist and nationalist from Singapore who donated his wealth to build what he called his contribution to empowering the Chinese nation through education. The MBBS program at Xiamen University (XMU) is a full English-medium 6-year Bachelor of Clinical Medicine - intake each September with a deadline of approximately July 15. The Medical College is structured across the College of Basic Medicine and Biological Sciences, College of Radiological Medicine and Protection, Public Health College, Pharmacy College, Nursing College, and 3 clinical medical schools, reflecting a broad-based medical faculty with particular strength in oncology, cardiology, and infectious diseases.
