Non-MOE Universities in China
Non-MOE universities are Chinese institutions that hold PMDC/PMC recognition but are not on the Ministry of Education (MOE) approved list for English-medium MBBS. Graduates are eligible for the NRE/NLE in Pakistan provided the university maintained its PMDC status throughout your enrollment.
Programs at non-MOE institutions follow an English-medium structure with a dedicated Year 1 Chinese language foundation - HSK-4 is required from Year 1, and medical subjects from Year 2 onwards are taught in English. Tuition fees are generally lower than MOE-listed universities, and seat availability is higher. Non-MOE degrees are not eligible for CSC Government Scholarship.
Some universities - such as China Three Gorges University and Xinjiang Medical University - are MOE-listed for one track (English MBBS) while also offering a non-MOE Clinical Medicine track on the same campus. Always confirm your track from your Admission Notice before paying any fees.
