Georgian Technical University (GTU) is Georgia's oldest and most prestigious engineering and technology institution, established in 1922 during the early Soviet era as the Tbilisi Polytechnic Institute. Today, GTU is one of the Caucasus region's leading STEM universities, with over 20,000 students across engineering, computer science, architecture, and business disciplines.
GTU does not offer MBBS or any medical degree. It is specifically designed for students interested in engineering, computer science, architecture, and business administration. GTU's English-medium programs are internationally recognized and aligned with European accreditation standards, making credits transferable to European universities. The university has active exchange and research partnerships with institutions in Germany, France, the United States, and Asia.
For Pakistani engineering and IT students who cannot secure admission in Pakistan's competitive public engineering universities (NED, UET, FAST, etc.), GTU offers a fully accredited, English-medium pathway to internationally recognized bachelor's and master's degrees at competitive Georgian tuition fees.
