The Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded on merit and covers full tuition, housing, monthly stipend, health insurance, and return airfare. The Financial Aid Scholarship is awarded on need and covers full or partial tuition, with other benefits depending on the level of need.

PhD scholarships are awarded in three phases: Phase 1 (Doctoral Studies), Phase 2 (Prospectus - requires GPA ≥ 3.5), and Phase 3 (Dissertation - after passing the comprehensive examination). Continuation depends on maintaining academic performance.

You can still apply, but Arabic proficiency is important because most programs are taught in Arabic. If you are not a native Arabic speaker, the Doha Institute may test your Arabic level and require you to attend Arabic language support courses. The admissions team evaluates your language level as part of the application. If Arabic is a barrier for you, the DI is not the right institution - unlike many Gulf universities, this one is genuinely Arabic-medium, not English-medium with Arabic as a secondary language.
