About the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) Scholarships
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) are high-level, integrated study programs at the master's level, designed and delivered by an international partnership of higher education institutions. Each program involves at least three institutions from three different countries, ensuring a diverse academic experience.
The curriculum is fully integrated and typically includes periods of study, research, traineeship, thesis preparation, and defense. Students are required to complete at least two study periods in two different countries, neither of which can be the student's country of residence.
The program duration ranges from one to two academic years, corresponding to 60, 90, or 120 ECTS credits. Upon completion, students receive either a joint degree certificate or multiple degree certificates issued by the consortium institutions.
The European Union provides funding for these programs, which includes competitive scholarships for the best-ranked students globally. These scholarships are designed to cover participation costs and provide a monthly living allowance for the duration of the studies.
Students apply directly to the institution running their chosen program rather than through a centralized portal. A new batch of selected master's programs is added to the official course catalogue each year.
