Schwarzman Scholars Programme

The curriculum is developed by leading academics and faculty to build leadership abilities and deepen knowledge of China. The program emphasizes an immersive experience that goes beyond classroom learning, providing Scholars with cross-cultural leadership skills and access to a global network of high-caliber leaders, academics, and innovators.

The program maintains a diverse cohort with specific geographic targets: 40% of the class from the United States, 20% from China, and 40% from the rest of the world. This structure ensures a mix of nationalities, academic interests, and professional backgrounds to provide multiple perspectives in the classroom.

Scholars live and study at the Schwarzman College on the Tsinghua University campus. The program includes mandatory orientation in late August and concludes with a graduation ceremony in early July of the following year.

The selection process is holistic, focusing on academic excellence and demonstrated leadership potential. Applicants are evaluated within their own academic, professional, and cultural contexts by a global selection committee.
