TU Delft Excellence Scholarships

The university offers faculty-specific scholarships, such as those provided by the QuTech research department and the Microelectronics department. These programs target students with excellent academic records who are interested in specific fields like quantum technology or electrical engineering.

Scholarship applications are integrated into the MSc admission process. Candidates must submit all required scholarship documents simultaneously with their MSc application. The university reviews the MSc application first, and students are considered for scholarships upon admission.

The selection process is highly competitive, requiring a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum in the bachelor's degree. Preference is often given to external students and underrepresented groups in science and engineering fields.

Successful candidates receive full tuition fee coverage based on statutory or institutional rates, along with a contribution toward living expenses. Some programs, such as those at QuTech, offer a potential PhD position for students who achieve a grade of 9 or higher on their MSc thesis project.
