About the DIYA Pakistan Scholarship
DIYA Pakistan offers a need-based scholarship for deserving students across Pakistan. The scholarship is renewable annually (July 1 - June 30) and continues until course completion, subject to annual re-submission of results and fee receipts.
There is no fixed application deadline - students are strongly advised to apply as early as possible. Applications are reviewed within 20-30 days and status can be checked weekly on the official website.
After approval, the scholarship cheque is sent to the applicant's institute within 20-30 days. It can be handed over to the student or adjusted in the fee, and cashed at any Meezan Bank branch using the original CNIC.
Students already receiving more than Rs. 25,000/year from another organisation are not eligible. Students whose applications are rejected or who provide incorrect information cannot reapply.
DIYA Pakistan's scholarship model stands apart from most formal programs in one critical way: it does not punish students for applying at the wrong time. Because there is no fixed annual cycle, a student who becomes financially vulnerable in the middle of an academic year can still apply and receive support - something that deadline-bound programs cannot offer. The renewable structure also means that students who are approved do not face the anxiety of reapplying from scratch each year; a simple annual submission of updated results and fee receipts is sufficient to maintain the award until graduation.
