About the PEEF Special Quota Scholarship
The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) Special Quota Scholarship is one of Pakistan's most targeted and impactful welfare scholarships, designed specifically for students from Punjab's most vulnerable social categories. Unlike need-based programs that assess all financially struggling students, PEEF Special Quota reserves spots for defined eligible groups - ensuring that society's most vulnerable students are not left behind in higher education.
Eligible categories include orphans, children of minority religions, children of Government employees in pay grades BPS 1-4 (both serving and retired), disabled students, children of civilians who were martyred in terrorist attacks, and children of divorced mothers. Students from most of these categories are exempt from the income ceiling of Rs. 60,000 per month that applies to other applicants.
For medical students, PEEF Special Quota explicitly includes MBBS-eligible programs - students admitted to medical colleges must provide their MDCAT Result Card at the time of application. This makes PEEF one of the few national need-based programs that directly supports the financially most challenged students pursuing Pakistan's most expensive and competitive degree.
The scholarship is processed entirely online through the PEEF portal. Students in eligible categories who passed Matriculation or FSC in 2025 with a minimum of 60% marks and have Punjab domicile can apply. The deadline for 2025-26 was November 18, 2025. Future cycles typically open at a similar time each year.

Insider Tips & Pro Tips
Ensure your category certificate is official, properly stamped, and from the relevant issuing authority - for example, an orphan certificate must come from a Union Council/NADRA, a disability certificate from a recognized medical authority, and a martyrdom certificate from the relevant government department
Scan and upload all documents as clear, high-resolution PDFs - blurry or partially visible certificates cause rejection
Apply well before the November deadline - the portal can slow down near closing, and technical issues at the last minute are common
If you have multiple eligible categories (e.g., both minority religion and BPS 1-4 parent), you only need to declare and document one category for eligibility - choose the one for which you have the clearest documentation
Save your Diary Number the moment you submit - PEEF's portal does not always send email confirmations, and this number is your only reference for follow-up

Eligible categories include: orphans, children of minority religion families, children of BPS 1-4 government employees (serving or retired), disabled students, children of civilians martyred in terrorist attacks, and children of divorced mothers. You must have Punjab domicile and have passed Matric or FSC in 2025 with minimum 60% marks.
Yes. Students admitted to medical colleges under PEEF Special Quota must provide their MDCAT Result Card at the time of application. MBBS is an explicitly supported program.
The general income limit is Rs. 60,000/month. However, children of BPS 1-4 government employees (serving or retired) and children of civilians martyred in terrorist attacks are fully exempt from this income limit.
An orphan certificate is typically issued by the relevant Union Council or NADRA. You will need your deceased parent's death certificate and your own birth certificate or B-form. The Union Council chairperson or naib qasid can issue a certificate confirming your status. Ensure it is properly signed, stamped, and recent (issued in the current year). A NADRA-issued death certificate for the parent is the strongest supporting document to attach.
PEEF Special Quota primarily targets students at HEC-recognized institutions in Punjab. Private universities may or may not be listed as eligible institutions. Check the official PEEF portal's list of participating institutions before applying. Students at public medical colleges, public engineering universities, and public degree-awarding institutions are the core target group.
